Dr. Eliezah Titus Busonga, the visionary founder of the Eliezah Foundation Initiative, laid the foundational frameworks that have empowered over 600,000 women across Uganda. Although he is no longer actively involved in the day-to-day operations, Dr. Busonga’s influence is embedded in the organization’s enduring systems and programs. As a Senior Strategist, Public Health Consultant, and Trauma Specialist, he meticulously designed and nurtured sustainable structures aimed at supporting survivors of gender-based violence and empowering women and youth.

Dr. Busonga’s work focused on protection of women and girls, mental health support for survivors, ensuring safe spaces for women and girls to access trauma counseling and resilience-building resources. He also developed educational and training programs to encourage more young women to enter STEM fields, helping bridge gender gaps and foster economic independence. His forward-thinking approach centered on building self-sustaining systems, training local teams, and establishing partnerships that continue to drive the foundation’s impact.

Today, Eliezah Foundation carries on his legacy, effectively managing the programs he designed and maintaining the supportive networks he established. Dr. Busonga’s vision remains at the heart of the organization’s mission, empowering thousands of women each year to overcome adversity and thrive.
